MK3 Mast rake datum

Post by Mike Stace »

Hi All
I'm looking to set up the standard mast rake on a mk3, 24'2" though 24'6". Could anyone tell me where the measurement datum on the transom is.
I seam to remember someone using a straight batten across the transom?
I have a scalloped top transom? And no rudder fittings at present.
Still using the 20' up mast from gooseneck as a starting point.
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks

Jon and I use the top of the transom on 1285 and it works.

My understanding was that the straight line method just applied to mk4 on where the transom has been modified.
